Already I’m seeing a bunch of posts on here that are supposed screen shots of Yahoo!’s Twitter feed. They say things like “We’ll soon be filtering explicit content, in order to make the site safe for kids!” and “Can’t wait to make the site more family friendly!”
I want all of you to be clear on one thing: THESE POSTS ARE FAKE!
If anyone were to take the time to just go and look at Yahoo!’s Twitter feed from the last couple days (when these tweets supposedly happened), you would see that Yahoo! has never said any of those things.
I’m not super excited about Yahoo! buying Tumblr either, but I can guarantee you they are not trying to destroy the site we love. They just want to make some money from it. Thanks.

Fuck, guys. Do your research.

Now scroll down just a little bit. Look through all of the tweets from the 21st. None of them say this. This is entirely fake. I don’t think Yahoo! is trying to ruin everything on Tumblr like you all seem to think. Once again: THIS IS FAKE. Thanks.
